Refresh!

So here is a quick refresher on things. My name is Viper Cecilia Obras and I have a strong passion and love for music and anything musical. My hobbies are blogging-although I am not very good at it- singing, writing, reading, drawing, and listening to music. You'll find out more about me as you read more.
Great incentive, don't you think?

They say that the Phoenix is born from the ashes...

This is what is going to happen.
1) I will post the lyrics of certain songs I come across
2) I will write about my opinions on the song and what I think it means
3) YOU as my followers will give me your opinions and we will discuss!
Not much of a plan, but it's the best I can do.
They say the phoenix is born from the ashes, so a new blog will come from the remains of my old one. It will be like starting over! :D

Transition, Metamorphosis, Change, Alteration

I have made a change to my blog. I am no longer going to write about choir. Instead, I am going to take apart songs and give an opinion based explanation on what the lyrics mean. It's going to be very abstract, but I thought about this a long time and I realized that blogging about choir isn't really taking me anywhere.

So here goes. Wish me luck....

Reincarnation

Hey! The blog has come back to life! There's so many things I have tou tell you guys...
1) My cousin Liza is in the choir with me! She is an alto.
2) My birthday was last week! :D
If it isn't obvious by now, choir has started again and I passed the evaluations. Yesterday we practiced a new song in Bulgarian, a song called "The chicken Waltz", "Fly Butterfly," and,"I wish I were an octopus". I will try to put the words on ASAP. They are theatrical rounds by someone called Bob Applebaum. It's basically like a normal round, but you have to act certain things out. The choir is going on tour to Indiana in two weeks and I am not going to be able to go. I have ISATS that week, so it's best if I stay put for now.
BUTTERFLY SONG
Fly, butterfly. Fly in through my open window
and stay there softly in my hand
let me see your gentle wings.
Stay a while, stay butterfly.
Quietly still
Talk to me. Tell all you have seen all this day.
Tell me, sweet butterfly if you have seen a pretty rose or daffodil?
Tell me, sweet butterfly, do they amaze as much as you, fair butterfly?

Give me your opinions on the song! Frankly, I like it but I think it's strange for people to be talking to butterflies....

Quiet, utter chaos

Hey guys! I haven't written in a while! here's the 411 on things.
Choir ended. ( A while ago, actually.) The week of January 9 we are having evaluations.
Basically, it goes like this: are you good enough to STAY in the choir?
I mean, they don't actually say that, but that's what they mean! Mr. Wallenberg asks us whether we know he difference between sharps and flats and if we can tell what key a note is in. He's also going to test us on whether we can label musical notes in solfege or not....
I can't do ANY of that stuff and I'm so nervous!!!!!

Also, that's the day new people can join choir.
