Hey, guys! Things have been pretty intense lately, so I haven't written in a while.
I took my selective enrollment high school test.
I had two concerts.
We are still going to choir practice.
My family came over from Kansas. That includes my aunt and three cousins. Also, my mom went to Europe for the holidays and my grandma is taking care of me.
Yeah, I got alot going on.
Right after school, I'm going to choir to PARTY!!!
P-A-R-T- why? BECAUSE I GOTTA! I'm very excited! I wonder what we are going to do! It IS our last day of choir, after all.... Frankly, I am relieved by that aspect. I'll have more free time and I will spend less time worrying about how to harmonize with the sopranos and altos.
After that, I am going to go home and do my homework, a favorite thing to do while being tortured with the fact that winter break and Christmas are so close yet so far away.
Honestly, whoever made us get out the 23rd is a complete idiot without feelings. Just thought I should mention that.
Last time we went to choir (ages and ages ago, on Tuesday) we went to the senior center and sang carols on every floor! It was fun! I really enjoyed myself and it felt good to make people smile!
I also want to include that I have learned to play 'Old Abram Brown' on the piano! I have no idea how I did it!
Well, I do. I sang it to myself over and over and found the keys that were the right notes. Took me a long time, too.
I just want to include that our concert on the 18 went great! It was AWESOME! Especially when we sang 'Old Abram Brown'! That was my favorite part! I love that song! It is so wonderfully creepy!
We had to be actors as well as singers. That's what Mr. Wallenburg says, anyway. It's true, though. He doesn't just teach us how to sing, he teaches us how to act. During 'Abram Brown', we had to march stiffly, like zombies and we had to be stone faced and deadly serious. It was easy, but I almost burst out laughing when we had to pre3tend to age 60 years and shuffle around like crazy old people.
(No offense. I respect my elders.)
I called this entry 'Random entry' because it doesn't really have a purpose and it doesn't flow smoothly, it just flits from topic to topic.
So there you go.
Happy holidays to everyone!
Have a haaapy/merry (Fill in the blank according to what you celebrate)!
